A mix of botanicals from Mexico and California, Herbal Tisane is the product of an ongoing collaboration between Chefs Huerik Palos and Joey Rachel. Infused with herbs gathered on ROSE Farm, we’ve selected a mélange of our fresh California botanicals to echo the pepperiness of our sun-grown flower rosin. Peppermint, basil, and lemon verbena are tempered with aromatic Hoja Santa, a green leaf with a history in traditional herbal medicine in Mexico and Central America. Its grounding complex flavor reminds us a bit of root beer, with cooling that unfolds slowly on the palate. Shiso contributes additional brightness, gentle spice, and a subtle anise flavor with cooling green lift. Rather than warming the herbs, we freeze-dry them whole to preserve their freshness.
